A: Final Stand will receive a new battleground in October with the release of the 3.0 update for Company of Heroes 3, and we will of course be focused on post launch quality and bug fixing. If there is ample support from the community, additional post launch content is something we will definitely consider!
Q: How do I unlock the exclusive Final Stand cosmetics for each faction?
A: In Final Stand, each faction can earn a full cosmetic set for its base roster of units. To unlock a specific set, you must earn 3,000 perk points for that particular faction.
Q: Can I earn the Boss unit cosmetics?
A: Boss units are not a part of the Final Stand cosmetics obtainable by players.
Q: Can I use the Final Stand cosmetics in the base version of Company of Heroes 3?
A: Yes! These cosmetic sets can be equipped in Company of Heroes 3 in any game mode that allows you to normally equip cosmetics such as multiplayer PvP, co-op, skirmish or custom games.
Q: If I already own cosmetics from the base version of Company of Heroes 3, can I use them in Final Stand?
A: Yes! Any cosmetic items that apply to the base faction roster units can also be used for your armies in Final Stand. The only exceptions to this are cosmetics that apply to resource points, victory points, or HQ buildings.
Q: If I earn Steam achievements in Final Stand and then purchase the base version of Company of Heroes 3, will those achievements carry over?
A: Yes. Certain achievements will carry over once unlocked; however, you may need to invest some playtime before they are granted.
Q: Why do units and abilities function differently between Final Stand and the base version of Company of Heroes 3?
A: Units and abilities have been specifically tuned and designed for Final Stand. Just like with the base versions of Company of Heroes 3's campaigns and multiplayer/skirmish modes, Final Stand will have differences in how units function, the balance of values associated with them, and what abilities they possess.
Q: If I'm having an issue inviting my friend to a game of Final Stand using Steam's invite system, what might be happening?
A: If two friends are accessing Final Stand in different Steam applications - for example, one friend is playing via Company of Heroes 3, and the other is playing via Final Stand only - Steam game invites may not work. We recommend using the in-game friend/invite system as this will work all the time. If both friends are playing Final Stand via the same Steam application, then Steam game invites will work.
Q: I can't launch the game and I'm prompted to install Company of Heroes 3 even though I already own it or have it installed. What do I do?
A: When installing Final Stand via Steam, you can do so without worrying about the install size on disk. The install is shared between Company of Heroes 3 and Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand. Steam may attempt to warn or prevent you from installing Final Stand if your disk space is close to 100% full and Company of Heroes 3 is already installed. These warnings are safe to ignore. Once Steam validates your Company of Heroes 3 files, the Final Stand install will be minimal.
